Graveside services for Jacqueline Sue Ferrel of Pavo will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday January 5, 2017 in the Big Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ken Burgess officiating. Mrs. Ferrel passed away on Monday January 2, 2017 at Rose City Health and Rehab. Born on March 15, 1932 in Grafton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Jewel and Pearl Cox. She was married to the Rev. Robert E. (Bob) Ferrel Sr. who survives. Mrs. Ferrel was a truly dedicated “Preacher’s Wife” who worked in numerous capacities for many of the churches they served in throughout the years. They were proud to be Pioneer Missionaries where they started churches throughout the country in conjunction with the Georgia Baptist Association and Southern Baptist Convention. Mrs. Ferrel was an avid reader, loved watching football, especially Florida State University football, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Rev. Bob Ferrel of Pavo; sons and daughters-in-law Butch and Judy Ferrel of Cochran, Ga, Harry and Lorie Ferrel of Statesboro, Ga, and Logan and Gerri Ferrel of Pavo; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
