Born January 9, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late William Hubert Hicks and Ruby Vick Hicks. She was married to the late James Donald Stewart. Jackie was the owner of Jackie’s Beauty Shop in Thomasville. She spent over forty years “waving her magic wand” over many wonderful Thomasville ladies; ladies that would become beloved lifelong friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. Jackie was a member of the Harmony Five, where she sang a lilting soprano. Her life was devoted to her husband, Jimmy, of 49 years, her three children and her grandchildren. Her life’s work was caring for, supporting, and loving her children and grandchildren. Her favorite word in the entire world was “Nana”. Her deepest desire was to make their lives full of joy and happiness. Together with her husband, Jimmy, she had an avid love for THS baseball and softball. She will be missed incredibly by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Dana Stewart Studdard, and husband Jerry, Donald Stewart and wife April all of Thomasville, and Will Stewart and wife Donna of Monticello, Florida; grandchildren Peyton Miller, Brian Miller, Brighton Miller, Ashton Studdard, Trent Studdard, Carter Studdard, Haley Stewart, Emmie Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Palmer Stewart, Emma Grace Vealey, Ashlyn Stewart, Katie Stewart, Tori Stewart and James Daniel “JD” Stewart; brothers, Jimmy Drew Hicks, and wife Terri of Buford, Georgia, and Billy Joe Hicks of St. George Island, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy & Jackie Stewart THS Baseball & Softball Scholarship Fund at Thomasville National Bank.
