Jacquelyn S Harvey

Jacquelyn Stewart Harvey born October 24, 1932 passed peacefully with her family around her January 22, 2022 at 89 years of age in Thomasville, GA. The family will receive friends Friday, February 4, 2022, 10:00 am at Striffler-Hamby in Columbus, Georgia followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am in Edgewood Hall with burial at Parkhill Cemetery. She was born in Savannah, Georgia. She lived the majority of her life in Columbus, GA until she moved to be with her daughter and grandchildren after her eldest sister Mary passed. She graduated from Central High School in 1951. She was a Radiologic Technologist, Phlebotomist, and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Most importantly, she spent her life serving others by caring for people and family members in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Martin Stewart and Barbara Mary Ray Stewart; her siblings, Helen Price, Barbara Cummings, Vernon Stewart Jr., William Stewart, and Mary Coulter; her niece Susan Howard and husband Bev, and their daughter Mary Anna Howard Walker. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Barbara Harvey McCollum and husband Eric, grandchildren, Elle and Palmer, of Thomasville, GA; sister, Carolyn Stewart Mavrelis of Woburn, MA; many nieces and nephews including Carolyn Howard Cornett (Sam), Cathi Cook Melamed, Jack Price (Sheri), Sonny Coulter (Kathy); loyal friends Beth and John White and Angela Payne. Special thanks to the compassionate staff of Woodleaf Senior Care that have cared for her over the past 5 years, Kindred Hospice and Angela Hill that made her last days so comfortable.
