Jacquelyn Genita Sellars, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on January 10, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1945, in Thomasville, Georgia, to Jack and Genita Reagan. A creative soul with a heart full of love, Jackie found immense joy in decorating and home decor that reflected her passion for beauty and life. Her talent for decorating brought warmth and charm to every space she touched, creating a welcoming haven for all who knew her.
Jackie cherished her family above all and spent countless treasured moments cooking delicious meals that brought everyone together around her table. Her love, laughter, and generosity will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Sheri Stewart and son-in-law, Dan Stewart of Ochlocknee; her son, Christopher Sellars and daughter-in-law, Donna Sellars of Thomasville; her sister, JoAnne Carter and brother-in-law, Jimmy Carter of Cairo; her brother, Bobby Mills and sister-in-law, Melissa Mills of Ochlocknee; her brother-in-law, Charlie Gandy of Ochlocknee; her sister-in-law Cheryl Sellars of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Stewart of Valdosta, Christina Johnson and her husband, Zack, of Thomasville, and Austin Sellars of Valdosta.
She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Gene "Mole" Sellars; her sister, Janice Gandy; her granddaughter, Danielle Stewart; her stepfather, Bobby L. Mills; and her brother-in-law Jerry Sellars.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and kindness that will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. A visitation will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Chapel on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 3-5 pm. A service will be held at Barnetts Creek Baptist Church on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11 am, where friends and family are invited to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought to their lives. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to Barnetts Creek Baptist Church at 27 Maddox Rd., Ochlocknee, Ga 31773.
