Jacques Wilfred Fortier

Jacques Wilfred Fortier, age 73, of Cairo passed away on Saturday August 9, 2025. 

Jacques Fortier was born on November 13th, 1951 in Thetford Mines, Quebec to the late Lionel Fortier and Jeanne d'Arc Bergeron.

 Mr. Fortier is survived by his wife Debra Fortier of Cairo; daughter, Tiffany Mahar of Thomasville; grandchildren, Starla Fortier and Hunter Mahar; and cousin, Mark Bergeron.

Mr. Fortier was a veteran of the United States Army, serving with the 34th Supply and Service Battalion in Da Nang, Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Mr. Fortier was very fond of his job as a truck driver for the City of Thomasville. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Interment will be in the Cremation Garden in Sunset Memorial Gardens with no formal services planned at this time.
