James Cleveland Borden,79, born April 4, 1924 in Miami,Fl. to immigrant parents Alfred Cleveland and Alexandria Ioney Borden, formerly of Grand Cayman. Mr. Borden was married to Alma Pauline Fowler of Clarksville, Fl, his Edison High School sweetheart, April 26, 1943. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII and served his community as a decorated officer of the City of Miami Police Department until his disability retirement in 1958. Jim and Polly had four children; Jim, Tim, Mike and Deborah. They moved to Thomasville, GA in 1966, where he resided off and on until his death. He is survived by his wife of sixty years Polly Borden of Thomasville; GA.; sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Jeff Davis of West Palm Beach, Fl.; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Sharon Borden, Tim and Lynn Borden of Pembroke Pines, Fl., Mike and Wanda Borden of Thomasville, GA. He was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Ione Voyles and her two children, Scott Warren and Joy Lynn Voyles. Other Local survivors include grandson, Cody W. Borden, grandson and granddaughter-in-law, M. David and Missy Borden; great grandchildren, Bailey Wynn and Karah Renee Borden. Other survivors are Kimberly and Courtney Tabor, Kris Borden, Karen Bleus, Lynette Borden all of Pembroke Pines, Fl., Timothy J.
