Services for James David Hunt, Sr., 81 of Ochlocknee are 4 pm, Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Tommy McCormick, Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Teddy Williamson will officiate and interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Colquitt County. Mr. Hunt passed away June 29, 2011 at his residence. Born July 5, 1929 in Colquitt, Co, he was the son of the late Perry A. Hunt and Rosa Lee Murphy Hunt. He was married to Nita Holton Hunt who survives. Other survivors include children, Cathy Hunt of Whigham, Debbie Powell and husband Charles of Thomasville, David Hunt, Jr. and wife Laurie of Cairo, special son Jimmy Hunt of Thomasville; grandchildren, Gwen Bryant, Jamie Bryant and wife Nadine, Mandy Powell West and husband Robbie, Brandon Powell and wife Alison, Chrissy Hunt Taylor, Jay Hunt, Joe Sadbury, Joey Williamson, Russell Hunt, Allen Hunt, Tracy Hunt Pitt; 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Maxine Hunt, granddaughter, Jade Taylor, brothers, Allen Hunt, W.J. Hunt, Perry Hunt, sister, Gladys Ruis.
