James Eugene Ingersoll, Sr., age 73 of Tallahassee passed away August 21, 2012 at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee. Born December 27, 1938 in Dolgeville, NY, he was the son of the late Loyal Francis Ingersoll Sr, and Mary Loretta Waldron Ingersoll. He was married to Diana Arlene Livingston Ingersoll for 54 ½ years, who survives him. Mr. Ingersoll was a retired veteran of the United States Navy where he served as Sr. Chief Hospital Corpsman. And a member of the Elks Lodge where he was a past Exhaulted Ruler of Hawthrone lodge, #1704, NV. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Thomasville, GA.
Other survivors include his children, Lorraine Ingersoll Harriff and husband Gene of Pahrump, NV, Kathlene Ingersoll Seeby and husband Scott of Houston, TX, James Eugene Skip Ingersoll, Jr of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas Ingersoll and wife Dawn of Spring Creek, NV and Diana Elaina Ingersoll Tillinger and husband Helmut of Austin, TX; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Ingersoll of Colorado and Loyal Ingersoll, Jr and wife Mary Jane of Oregon.
