James Fulton Howell

Services for James Fulton Howell, Jr., 90, of Barwick, Ga will be held 3:00PM, Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Harmony Primitive Baptist Church, where he was a member. Elder Phillip Howell and Elder Joe Easterling will officiate and interment will be Harmony Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Howell passed away July 25, 2013 at Camellia Gardens. Born April 27, 1923 in Barwick, Ga, He was the son of the late James Fulton Howell, Sr. and Edna Joiner Howell. Mr. Howell was married for 65 years to Martha Ruth Stephenson Howell, who preceded him in death in January 2012. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Terry Howell and Jan of Thomasville, David Howell and Jean of Chula, Ga, Phillip Howell and Pam of Thomasville; daughter Joan Howell of Quitman; daughters and sons-in-law Carol Peppers and James, Patricia Flynn and Scott of Clearwater, Fl.; sister Vera NeSmith of Thomasville; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son James Lawrence Howell; brother Palmer Howell; and sister Elise Boyles.
