James Gary Harper

Graveside services for James Gary Harper, 64 of Coolidge will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mike Keown will officiate. Mr. Harper passed away December 16 at his residence. Born June 24, 1949 in Alma, Ga., he was the son of the late J.D. Harper and Maxine Haynes Harper. He was veteran of the United States Navy, was a member of Coolidge Baptist Church and was retired vice president from Plantation Propane. Mr. Harper was a hardworking man who was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Missy Harper Johnson and husband Ricky, Wendy Harper Cauley and husband Brian, Jamie Harper and wife Tracey, Sherry Monroe all of Coolidge; step-daughter, Nadine Bryant of Thomasville; 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters & brothers, Lou Montgomery , Maxie Arnold, Jack Harper, Danny Harper and Don Harper all of Coolidge and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Harper, Jimmy Harper, Jay Harper and granddaughter Sarah Harper.
