James Bartow Howell

Memorial service for James Bartow Howell will be 11am on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Heritage Church in the Prayer Chapel. James Bartow "JB" Howell, age 88, passed away on September 15, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. He was born July 30, 1933, son to the late Ernest and Alvie Howell. James was a member of Heritage Church of Moultrie and loved his church family. He also loved spending time with his great-grandchildren, granddaughter Stephanie and grandson-in-law Brandon. He especially enjoyed his westerns.
Survivors include son Albert (Beth) Celeschi of Thomasville, grandchildren Stephanie (Brandon) Coffee of Pavo, Chase (Delilah) of Miccosukee, Fl., Callie (Tyler) Newberry of Thomasville; great-grandchildren Tonia Coffee and Alex Coffee, Hagan Womble, Analeigh Celeschi, and Langston Celeschi. James was preceded in death by wife Sarah Howell, daughter Autricia Celeschi Brooks, son-in-law David Brooks, brother Gordon Howell, and sisters Grace Howell, Jesse Cleghorn, and Athaleen Howell. His final resting place will be at Andersonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Breathe Organization at Heritage Church of Moultrie.
