Services for James "Jay" L. Watson, 66, of Ochlocknee are at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Dawes Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. Rev. Jim Huffbaker will officiate and internment is in Ochlocknee City Cemetery. Active Pallbearers are Mitch Slade, Paul Sellers, III, Justin Padilla, Bruce Simmons, Joel Owens and Ronnie Barlow. Born, October 9, 1942, Mr. Watson was the son of the late Andrew Homer and Mary Frances Bullard Watson. He was married to Helen Chason Watson, who survives. Mr. Watson was retired from Oil Dri. Other survivors include daughters, Connie Perdue and Bobbie McCormick both of Ochlocknee; daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Ricky Powell of Bainbridge; son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Kay Lamb of Thomasville; and a son, Andy Lamb of Louisiana; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Grace Warren and Jeanette Sizemore, both of Ochlocknee.
