Services for James Philip Leabo, Sr., 79 of Thomasville will be held at 4PM, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Timothy Filston will officiate. Mr. Leabo passed away March 31 at his residence. Born September 3, 1936 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he was the son of the late Leo Leotis Leabo and Mary Louise Tietz Leabo. He was the husband of Karen Singletary Leabo who survives. Mr. Leabo was the treasurer for Sing Oil Company before his retirement. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Highlands, North Carolina, he was a former Rotary member in Thomasville, was chairman of the board for the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society and chairman of the American Cancer Society. He is also survived by daughter, Karen Singletary and husband Tim and Son, Philip Leabo, Jr and wife Lisa all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Zach Singletary, Levi Singletary, Justin Leabo and Gunter Leabo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hands and Hearts for Horses, PO Box 1095, Thomasville, Ga 31799 or a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends after the service on Sunday.
