Services for James Jim Lee Smith, 77, of Moultrie, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Curtis Eason will officiate and interment is in the church cemetery. Mr. Smith passed away Jan. 21 at his residence. Born, May 15, 1932, in Shelby, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Noel and Florice Hess Smith. On Sept. 6, 1997, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, he married Shirley Ford, who survives. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher and Choir member. He had many experiences in his life including living in Japan, Hawaii, St. Thomas, New York, New Hampshire and others but his greatest joy was his family and his faith in God. Other survivors include children, Mark Smith and wife, Vicki of Strasburg, Ohio, Leanne Omland and husband, Omar of South Riding, Virginia, Craig Smith and friend, Melissa of Salt Lake City, Utah, Tamara Beech and husband, Mike of Sacramento, Calif.; step-son, Brian Boyd and wife, Shanna of Moultrie; Brandi Boyd and friend, Michael of Moultrie; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron Smith and wife, Peg of Lancaster, Ohio, Paul Smith of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Fred Smith and wife, Mary Sue of Galion, Ohio; special friend, Lora Boatwright of Moultrie. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, Ga. 31702, Gideons International, P.O.
