James Lon Shadrick

Services for James Lon Shadrick, 75, of Thomasville are at Allen & Allen Funeral Home on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Shadrick died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 21, 2005 after open heart surgery at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL. He was born November 8, 1929 in Quitman County, GA. and has been a resident of Thomasville, GA for the past 22 years coming from Pinetta, FL. His career in the building material and construction industry spanned 50 years with his most recent experience at Loblolly of Thomasville and as a self-employed consultant. Mr. Shadrick was the former owner of Shadrick Lumber in Thomasville, GA. and was an avid bicyclist. He is survived by his four children, Cathy Myers of Cartersville, GA, Julie Sanderbeck of Valdosta, GA, Allen Shadrick of Pinetta, FL, Jennifer Dean of Patterson, GA; one brother, Joe Shadrick of Ashville, NC; six grandchildren and three special friends, Bonnie Shadrick, Shirley Harlan, and Renee Watson. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Habitat for Humanity, Thomasville Chapter. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6-8PM at the funeral chapel and then from 6-8PM on Friday after the service at the Shadrick home, 10129 Colin Kelly, in Pinetta, FL.
