James "Mac" Mcduffie Roper

Funeral services for James McDuffie “Mac” Roper, 79 of Pavo, will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church. Rev. Wayne Goff will officiate and interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. Mr. Roper passed away February 19 at his residence. Born October 16, 1937 in Dawsonville, Ga, he is the son of the late Malcolm Roper and Eula Mae Evans Roper. Mr. Roper owned Hill Top Service Station and he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, racing cars and watching NASCAR. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Owens and husband Rick of Thomasville; grandchildren, Laci, Marla and Thorn Owens and sister, Gail Chastain of Pavo. The family will receive friends 5-7, Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
