Services for James Marvin Hart of Thomasville are at 3:00PM on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Mike Keown and the Rev. Jimmy Odom will officiate and interment is in Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. Mr. Hart died December 4, 2003 at his residence. Born July 12, 1930 in Pavo, Ga., he was the son of the late Edgar Howell Hart, Sr. and Roselia Bryant Hart. On December 27, 1951 in Pavo, Ga. he married Margaret Woods Hart who survives. Mr. Hart was a member of First Newark Church. He was a licensed minister, managed a grocery store in Pavo and a truck driver for Petroleum Products. He served in the Army Medical Corp in Korea where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Janice Hart of Pavo, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Rex Smith of Ochlocknee, son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Melissa Hart of Pavo; brother, Charles Hart; sisters, Sara Repass, Shirley Gandy all of Pavo and Louise Fuchs of California; grandchildren, Rex, Jr. and Machelle Smith, Tina Glenn, Jonathan Hart, Melita Lee Hart and Shawn Hart and great grandchildren, Mika Snipe, Tray Mashburn, Keyton Smith, Kaleb Smith and Aubrey Glenn. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, GA 31792. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 7-9PM on Saturday.
