Services for James Payne Napier, 32, of Monticello, are 4 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel with the Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Napier died Feb. 25, 2007. Born Sept. 12, 1974 in Thomasville, he was the son of Phillip Ray and Jean Payne Napier, who survive. He graduated from Thomas County Central in 1993. He attended Mercer University and Valdosta State University. He was a member of the GA-FL Field Trial Association and was employed at May?s Pond Plantation where he was a Dog Trainer. Other survivors include sister, Aimee Christine Napier of Havana, Fla.; maternal grandmother, Verna Payne of Indianapolis, IN; niece, Annais Marie Cox of Thomasville; nephew, Andrew Rucker Gordon of Thomasville; cousins, Lauri S. Winkler of IN, Danny Smith, Donna Smith and Danielle Smith, all of LA, Lona Mae Napier, Rose and Bridgette Napier all of Purvis, MS; aunts, Hazel Napier of Lumberton, MS and Wanda Jo Kirby of NC; uncles William Payne of Thomasville and James Napier of Africa, aunts and uncles, Janice and Martin Pott of Perth, Australia, Barbara Ann and Rob Robinson of Jackson, MS, Carol S. and John Winkler of Indianapolis, IN, Kathy and Danny Smith of Metarie, LA, Kathleen and Billy Napier of Purvis, MS and extended family and friends from Black Acres Road, Moultrie, GA. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Jason Christopher Napier; paternal grandparents, Bill and Lona Mae Napier of Lunberton, MS; maternal grandfather, Chester Payne of Bremen, IN; uncle, Roy Napier; and cousin Billy Napier of Purvis, MS. The family will receive friends at the funeral home chapel, Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Dr., Thomasville, Ga., 31757.
