James Riley Flowers, Sr.
Graveside services for James Riley Flowers, Sr., 56, of Pavo, are at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Burgess will officiate. Mr. Flowers passed away July 2. Born, Feb. 15, 1954 in Perry, GA., he was the son of the late Walter Wade and Julia Mae Bond Flowers. On June 16, 1972, in Pavo, he married Judy Diane Swymer Flowers, who survives. He was employed by Flower s Baking Company and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Other survivors include children, Sharen Nichols and husband, Wayne and James R. Flowers Jr. all of Pavo; grandchildren, Justin Flowers, Riley Nichols, Will Morris, Leah Morris, Breanna Tinney, Tosha Tinney, Korbin Gilbreath, Karley Gilbreath, MacKenzie Gilbreath, Kristie Gilbreath and Alan Morris; sister, Martha Ann Flowers of Pavo; brother, Walter Andrews Flowers and wife, Kathy of Cordele; mother-in-law, Edith Swymer of Pavo; nieces and nephews, Robin Ashworth, Chris Pike and wife, Amanda, Breanna Pike, Clayton Pike and Stacey Ashworth. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Inc., P.O. Box 1201, Albany, GA. 31702 or to the American Heart Association, c/o Vicki Lutes, P.O. Box 1999, Thomasville, GA. 31799.
