Services for James R. Larry Gordon, Jr. of Boston are at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at Boston Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate and interment will be in Boston Cemetery. Nephews will be pallbearers. Mr. Gordon died December 5, 2005 at his residence. Born August 23, 1933 in Colquitt Co., GA he was the son of the late James R. Gordon, Sr. and Leila Taylor Gordon. On October 22, 1952 in Thomasville he married Evelyn Owens who survives. He was the retired owner of Boston Farm Center. Other survivor includes son, Steve Gordon of Boston, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Rankin Smith of Thomasville, daughter, Lynn Cohen of Boston; brothers, Elwood Gordon of Chicago, IL, Dorsey Gordon of Valdosta, GA, Donnie Gordon of Titusville, FL, Lee Gordon of Madison, Fl sister, Patricia Morgan of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Staci Gordon, Leila Gordon, Ben Palmer, Buddy Smith, Caroline Smith, Katie Smith, Jered Smith and Kahlan Donalson. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Verna Gordon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Tuesday. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
