Graveside services for James Thomas "Jimmy" Dunn Jr. 50, Thomasville will be conducted at 10:00a.m. Monday October 4, 2010 at Laurel Hill Cemetery on 4th Street. Jeff Willis will officiate. "Hurk" or " Lil' D" as he was known left us on Wednesday September 29th from his residence. Born January 7, 1960, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late James Thomas "Tommy" Dunn & Marjorie Smith Dunn. Born & raised in Thomasville, he worked many years at F& W Farm and was owner & operator of Lil' D's Alternator & Starter Repair. He was best known for his hard work ethics, stubbornness, feisty disposition & attitude, as well as his big heart. He enjoyed his life! Jimmy had a strong attachment to collecting can tabs and donations for Shan's Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Survivors include Daughter Vanessa LeAnn Dunn - Thomasville, sisters Debi Floyd- Houston Texas; Kay Dunn Smith Wood- Thomasville, Nephews, Rick Dunn & Justin Smith - Thomasville, great nieces Madison & Olivia Dunn-Thomasville and great nephew Ryan Smith-Thomasville. The family will receive friends at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Sunday Oct. 3rd, 2010 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, can tabs & donations may be sent to Shands Hospital 1600 S.W.
