James R. "Jim" Pendarvis, Sr

Services for James R. "Jim" Pendarvis, Sr., 78 of Thomasville will be held 2 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Pendarvis passed away February 5 at Archbold Hospital. Born February 12, 1933 in Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Otho Joseph Pendarvis and Joni Reid Pendarvis. She was married to Emma J. McCreary Pendarvis who survives. He was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church, a member of Thomasville Masonic Lodge #369 and former president of the Men's Golf Association at Country Oaks. Other survivors include son, Jimmy R. Pendarvis, Jr of Thomasville; grandsons, Joshua Pendarvis and James R. Pendarvis, III; great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Pendarvis and Michael Pendarvis; sister, Wilma Jo Davis and husband Clarence Mason, sister-in-law, Irma Pendarvis all of Jacksonville, Fl. He was preceded in death by son, Michael Reid Pendarvis and brother, Truman Guy Pendarvis. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
