James Warner "Pee Wee" Harding
Memorial services for James Warner "Pee Wee" Harding, 67, of Lanett, Ala., are at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Hugh Rockett will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Harding died Aug. 13, 2009. Born September 8, 1941, in Charlottesville, Virginia, he was the son of the late Garfield and Catherine Robinson Harding. On June 1, 1961, he married Opal Jarrell Harding, who survives. He was a retired truck driver from West Point Stevens. Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Pam Harding of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mickey Parker of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Tyler Harding, Megan Harding, Catherine Parker and Carly Parker; sisters, Pam Harding of Greensboro, North Carolina and Marietta James of Keswick, Virginia; sister-in-law, Charlotte Harding of Athens; special friends, Larry and Margaret Craig of Lagrange and Susan and Rodney Dabbs of Cusseta, Ala. He was preceded in death by brothers, William Harding and David Harding. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 818 Gordon Ave., Thomasville, Ga. 31792 or to the Thomasville – Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Drive, Thomasville, Ga. 31757.
