Jane Gross

Jane Gross, 82, made her transition peacefully at her home in Thomasville, Ga on July 13, 2007, surrounded by family and friends. Jane was born August 26, 1924 in Chicago to Louis and Mary Hartmann Gross and was a long time resident of Stokie, Ill. For many years she serves as controller at the Chicago law firm of Peterson, Ross, Schloerb and Seidel. She moved to Thomasville in 1990. Jane worked part-time at the Thomas County Public Library and was an active volunteer at the Thomasville Genealogical, History, and Fine Arts Library. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Ralph Krier, her nieces and nephews, Mary Krier, Elizabeth Matlin, Virginia Gaiser, Jane Krier, Jean Krier, Madeline Henry, Louis Gross, Susan Gross, and Thomas Gross, many great-nieces and nephews, Nancy Tillinghast, and many other good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Frances and Raymond. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
