Services for Jane Gunn Gentry, 86 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Thomasville, Ga. Rev. Ronnie Wills and Dr. Chris Goff will officiate the Thomasville service and interment will be in Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, Ala at 11:00am cst, Friday, February 8, 2013. Mrs. Gentry passed away February 4, 2013 at Archbold Hospital. Born November 30, 1926 in Jacksonville, Fl; she was the daughter of the late Edward Gunn and Mattie Shaw Dean. She was married to William McTyiere Gentry for 40 years, who survives. Mrs. Gentry was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a guidance counselor for the Duval and Seminole County School Systems in Florida. Other survivors include her children, DJ Wright and husband Glenn Woodsum of Tallahassee, Fl, Benjamin Wright and wife Kim of Plant City, Fl, Edward Wright and wife Gayle of Georgetown, Fl, Matthew Wright and spouse David Bugher of Oberlin, OH; stepchildren, Emily Sellers and husband Grady of Valparaiso, Fl, Billie Claire Taylor and husband Rusty of Montgomery, Ala and William Gentry, Jr and wife Betsy of Orlando, Fl; sister, Betty Anne Baker and husband Larry of Lexington, Va; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Food Bank, P.O. Box 975, Thomasville, Ga 31799.
