Graveside services for Janet Neel, 83, of Thomasville are Friday, December 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Leigh Ann Raynor will officiate. Mrs. Neel died December 7, 2006 at Archbold Hospital. She was born Mar. 27, 1923 in Loraine, OH, to Val and Ethel McConihe Heggie. She graduated from the University of Maryland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. In 1946 she married Howell Neel, who preceded her in death. Survivors include Daughter, Valanne Neel of Moultrie; Daughter and Son-in-law, Martitia & Doug Beach of Tallahassee; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Leon and Julie Neel; Nieces, Julie Neel Horne, Susan Neel Campbell, and Julie Heggie Poehlman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Thomas-Grady County. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, step-mother, Florence Peg Heggie and brother, James Heggie.
