Services for Jean Barton of Thomasville will be at 11:00AM on Friday, November 1, 2002 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barton died October 30 at Hospitality Care Nursing Home. Born June 5, 1926 in Grady Co. Ga., the daughter of the late Otis Vivian & Esther Gandy Murchison. She was married to the late J.L. Barton. She was Baptist and a homemaker. Surivors include daughter & son-in-law, Gail Williams Chason & David Chason of Cairo, granddaughter, Dana Chason, sister & brother-in-law. Halcie & Olen Dekle of Thomasville, brother-in-law, Irby Terrell and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Hoyt Murchison, sisters, Hazel McGlamery and Hilda Terrell.
