Jean Ann Carpenter

Services for Jean Ann Wilson Carpenter, 86 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg, Florida. Mrs. Carpenter passed away July 16, 2015 at her residence. Born December 14, 1928 in Findlay, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Horace Wilson and Laoma Oberly Wilson. She was married to Wesley Carpenter who survives. While living in Ohio, she was a member of the Eastern Star; she served as president of the local Jaycees Wives club and was state office secretary the Jaycees Wives Club and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. In Thomasville she was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid reader and was a member of a local book club. She served in several offices thru out her life. Other than her husband, she is survived by brother, David Wilson; sisters, Carolyn Chavanne, Lois Lawarre, and Diane Craver; sister-in-law, Armida Jones; daughter-in-law, Becky Carpenter; grandchildren, Levi Carpenter and Charles Carpenter (Cathy) and great-grandchildren, William Carpenter and Myra Carpenter. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Monday, July 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
