Graveside services for Jean Oesterreicher Parrish, 90 of Pavo, will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Salem Cemetery and Rev. Thilmon Vonier and Jimmy Clanton will officiate. Mrs. Parrish passed away on May 23, 2013 at Southern Pines. Born April 26, 1923 in Dixie, she was the daughter of the late Roy Paxton and Lessie Mae Chambers Oesterreicher. On June 12, 1949, she married Cordey Max Parrish, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Parrish was an educator at Pavo Elementary School for a number of years and she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pavo. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Buddy and Rhonda Parrish of Thomasville, Don and Jean Parrish of Pavo; daughter and son in-law Becky and Felix Horne; grandchildren Curt Parrish, Jill Jason Copps, Forrest Kelly Horne, Michael Erin Horne, Madison Kristen Horne and Hannah Parrish; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Nancy Parrish and brother Donald Oesterreicher. The family request that memorials may be made to Pavo United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 97, Pavo, Ga 31778. The family will receive friends before the service at Salem Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00AM – 11:00AM before the service. Guest may sign the online register at
