Jeanne Mcalpine Smith

Jeanne McAlpine Smith, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday December 29, 2018 in Bainbridge, Ga. Born March 14, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charles Lennon and Laura Kramer. She was married to the late Charles Fredrick McAlpine and then later married the late James Smith. Ms. Smith was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ms. Smith was a loving mother and grandmother and had a wonderful outlook on life. She loved gardening and her church, volunteering as often as possible. Ms. Smith was an inspiration to her children who survive; Charles F. McAlpine of Boynton Beach, FL, David W. McAlpine (Barbara) of Jackson Heights, NY and Kenneth J. McAlpine (Becky) of Tallahassee, FL and daughter Anne M. Cerone (James) of Bainbridge, Ga. 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Anne Marie Lennon of Rochester, NY and sister in law Cecile McAlpine of Coral Springs, FL. A memorial services for Ms. Smith will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday February 2, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church at 4595 Bayview Dr. in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 33308. Interment will be held in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1500 South State Rd. 7 in North Lauderdale, Fl. following the service.
