Services for Jeffery Dirk Reed of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Friday, February 13, 2004 at Dawson Street Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Lee Waller and the Rev. Roscoe Bennett will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Kirk Hand, Keith Giddens, Tony Giddens, Joey Rentz, Kenneth Franks, Jeff Cutchens, Duke Daughtrey, Brad Franks and Michael Roundtree. Honorary pallbearers are employees at Publix. Mr. Reed died February 11, 2004 at his residence. Born October 30, 1961 in Adel, Ga., he was the son of Wilbur Clayton Reed and Barbara Franks Smith. On October 1, 1988 in Cook Co., Ga., he married Lori Ellen Cutchens Reed. Mr. Reed was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was a manager at Publix in Bradfordville, Fl. and a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Lori Ellen Cutchens Reed; sons, Adam Jeffery Reed, Jordan Christopher Reed; daughters, Hannah Elizabeth Reed, Erinn Ravell Reed all of Thomasville; mother and stepfather, Barbara Franks and Arlie Smith; father, Wilbur Clayton Reed; sister, Lora Leigh Nix, sister and brother-in-law, Lana Jill and Duke Daughtrey all of Adel, Ga.; stepsister and husband, Julie and Padon Hurst of Valdosta, Ga., stepsister, Deborah Williams; grandmother, Doris Connell Reed all of Adel, Ga.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dion and Betty Cutchens; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jeff and Melinda Cutchens all of Valdosta; brother-in-law, Mike Cutchens of Savannah, Ga.; numerous relatives and special friends.
