Graveside services for Jeffrey Calvin Poppell, 40 of Thomasville are 2:30 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Union Springs Cemetery in Whigham. Rev. Steve Brooks and Rev. Mike Keown will officate. Mr. Poppell passed away April 24, 2011 at his residence. Born December 2, 1970 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Calvin Ward Poppell and Mildred Miller Poppell McGee of Thomasville. He was owner and operator of Jeff's Lawn Service. Other survivors include wife Connie Michelle Goodson Poppell of Cairo; son, Chandler Blake Poppell, step-daughter, Brittany Lynne Fletcher both of Cairo; brothers, Joseph Ward Poppell and wife Renee of Carnesville, Thomas Allen Poppell and wife Elizabeth of Thomasville; nieces and nephews, Jeremy Poppell, Christopher Poppell, Rachel Poppell and Joshua Poppell and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
