Jeffrey W. Leidigh, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 at
his home in Thomasville, Georgia.
He was born July 28, 1953 to Franklin G. and Sylvia Leidigh in Beaver
Falls, Pennsylvania. Jeffrey graduated with a Bachelor of Science in
Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. He also achieved a
Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Management.
A manufacturing engineer by trade, he spent his free time enjoying the
outdoors with his wife and his dogs from the mountains of Colorado to the
shores of Florida. He was an avid fly fisherman. He supported Christian
missionaries in Africa, and gave money to feed and house orphans
throughout his life. Jeffrey had particular passions for animals and their
care. He was a member of First Presbyterian Colorado Springs, Colorado,
and Thomasville, Georgia.
He was an extraordinary husband and loving Papa. Jeffrey loved gathering
the family together on special occasions and vacations. He planned and
looked forward to times that everyone could share time together. He always
had a big hug to give away and a smile to cheer your day. He is truly home
with his Lord and Savior Jesus.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife Cherrie Leidigh; his brother, Philip W. (Connie) Leidigh; his brother Peter F. Leidigh; his sister Janice Leidigh (Drew) Ricketts; seven children: Joshua and Carolyn Freeman, Eric, Adam, and Jonathan Rasmussen, Melanie and Jeff Watson; niece and nephews: Claire Leidigh, Wilson and Joseph Ricketts; and eight grandchildren: Spencer, Evan, Judah, Treston, Ava, Lilli, Zoe, and Eden; and many cousins and relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held at Allen & Allen Funeral home on Friday,
June 15th at 3:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
