Jerldine Cooksey

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jerldine Cooksey, who departed this life on August 6, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on February 12, 1935, in Jacksonville, FL, Jerldine was a dedicated member of the Baptist faith.

A loving mother, Jerldine is survived by her children: Mike Cooksey (Anna) of Orlando, Sheree Cooksey of Middleburg, FL, and Lance Cooksey of Thomasville. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her grandchildren: Morey Cooksey, Michelle Watson, Lea Ware, Lesley Cooksey, Amanda Kelso, and Michael Cooksey, as well as her great-grandchildren: Jonas Booth, Kelsey Watson, Aubrey Watson, Charli Keeney, and Chloe Ware.

Jerldine will be profoundly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Roy and Velma Davis, and her husband, Curtis Cooksey.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2 PM at Allen and Allen Funeral Home's Celebration of Life Chapel. A visitation will take place at 1:30 PM prior to the service, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and pay their respects.
