Services for Jerry Benjamin Griner, 69, of Thomasville are 11:00 am, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Trinity Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Ken Burgess and Rev. Gene Vinson will officiate and interment will be in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Griner passed away March 16, 2011. Born March 12, 1942 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Gordon B. Griner and Omie Lillian Bordens Griner. On November 24, 1962 at New Bethel Baptist Church he married Norma Jean Tinsley Griner who survives. Mr. Griner retired from Canada Dry after 37 years of service, worked at Waylon Griner Construction and served as a Gideon. Other survivors include sons Jerry Michael Griner and wife Kelli of Thomasville, Robbie Kevin Griner of Sylvester and Waylon Lynn Griner and wife Tina of Meigs; grandchildren, Aaron Michael Griner, Madelyn McKenzie Griner, Ansley Nicole Griner, Amber Lynn Griner and Waylon Lynn Will Griner, Jr.; brothers and sister, Odell Griner, Geneva Loyd, Glynn Griner, Donnie Griner all of Meigs and Johnny Ray Griner of Pooler. He was preceded in death by brothers, Dick Griner, Willard Griner, Ed Griner and sister, Mary Ethel Simpson. Memorial may be made to the Gideon International, P.O. Box 2361, Thomasville, Ga 31799.
