Funeral services for Jerry Edwin Jarrard, Sr., 67, of Thomasville are 4:00 PM, Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Salem Baptist Church, interment to follow in church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Neeley, Rev. Steve Wooten and Rev. Chris Lodge will officiate. Mr. Jarrard died May 5, 2007, at Brynwood Nursing Home in Monticello, Fl. Born July 9, 1939 in Thomas Co, he was the son of the late Wilbur H. & Nellie Redfern Jarrard. On Sept 2, 1989 in Thomas Co, he married Jewell Avonell Hagan Hampton Jarrard, who survives. He is survived by a son Jerry Edwin Jarrard, Jr, of Thomasville, grandchildren, Payton Dixon, Parker Dixon and Rebecca Hampton, sister, Lillian Chapman of Barwick, sister & brother-in-law, Virginia & Don McCarter, of Boston, sisters, Loraine Jones, of Augusta, and Ruth Shepard of Boston. Brothers, Lester Jarrard, Jack Jarrard, sisters, Myrtle Owens, Brunell Pope and Hazel Sowell preceded him in death.
