Services for Jesse Warner Dollar, Jr. of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Bishop Charles W. King will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Dollar died Sept. 20 in Gainesville, FL. Born August 21, 1934 in Valdosta, GA he was the son of the late Jesse W. Dollar, Sr. and Mae Toole Dollar. On September 19, 1959 in Orlando, FL he married Melba Giddens Dollar who survives. Mr. Dollar was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a truck driver and loved fishing, nature and enjoyed making people laugh. Other survivors include son, Terry White, daughter, Sara Lynne Dollar both of Thomasville, daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Randy Griffin of Whigham, GA; grandson, Chris White, granddaughters, Lindsey Dollar and Carley Griffin; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Harold Hurst of Kingston, GA, brother, John Dollar of Thomasville; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Lora Dollar of New Port News, VA, Joseph and Debbie Dollar, Stanley and Beverly Dollar all of Thomasville, several nieces and nephews and beloved pet, Pretty Girl. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Griffin. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Friday at the funeral home. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com .
