Graveside services for Jessica Trent Phillips Fletcher (Jackie) of Thomasville are at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 3, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Cory Hallett and Floyd White will officiate.
Mrs. Fletcher died July 29, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born November 2, 1927 in Berrien County, Georgia, she was the daughter of Marvin E. Phillips and Elva Sealy Philips Wilson. On December 31, 1947 in Tifton, Georgia she married Charles Franklin Fletcher who predeceased her in July 2006.
Mrs. Fletcher was a member of First Baptist Church, Thomasville Georgia. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she worked for the Thomasville City School Food Services and Neels Department Store. She was an excellent seamstress and provided alterations for private customers as well as Neels Department Store. Her greatest joy was loving and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Welch Goggins of Thomasville, Georgia, daughter Fredia Fletcher Dunn, Mauldin, South Carolina; Grandchildren, Ann Marie and Cory Hallett of Smyrna, Georgia, Jessica and Floyd White of Thomasville, Georgia, Paul Welch Goggins III of Atlanta, Georgia, Whitney and Michael Richey of Pensacola, Florida; Great-Grandchildren Anna Claire Hallett, Ava Hallett, Brennan White, Margaret White; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law Betty and Donnie Howard, Jesup, Georgia; Sisters-in-law Ruby Forester, Jesup, Georgia, Louise Fletcher, Gautier, Mississippi, Evelyn Fletcher, Thomasville, Georgia, Wanda Fletcher, Norman Park, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Frances Nall.
A special thanks goes to the staff at Southern Pines and to special caregivers Crystal Miller, Faye Wright, La Shonda Stringer, Kendra Stringer, Franchescia Whitaker and Michelle Ceasar for all the care and love they gave her.
Visitation will be 9:30-10:30AM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home prior to the graveside services.
