Joan Johns Cantrell

Memorial services for Joan Johns Cantrell, 78, of Thomasville will be held Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 11:30AM at Huntington Pointe in Thomasville. The Revs. Jim and Sherri Hobby will officiate. Mrs. Cantrell died peacfully surrounded by her family August 22, 2008 at her residence. Born March 14, 1930 in Opelika, AL she was the daughter of the late Roe Lyle Johns and Gladys Liston Johns. On May 8, 1952 in Gainsville, Fl she married Henry Lewis Cantrell who survives. Mrs. Cantrell was a high school Math teacher for Escambia County Schools and a member of Trinity Anglican Church. Other survivors include a son, Henry Lewis Hank Cantrell, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Carin Cantrell Tannehill of New Orleans, LA; and a son and daughter-in-law, Clinton James Clint and Maria Cantrell of Devonport, New Zealand; Grandchildren, Mary CaitlinTannehill, Greg Cantrell, Hannah Cantrell and Jack Cantrell; a sister and brother-in-law, Millie and Robert Saunders of Gainsville, Fl; a brother, Edwin Johns of Gainsville, Fl and numerous nieces and nephews.
