Services for JoAnn Jackson McIlvaine, 89, of Thomasville are at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 6 at The Church by the Sea in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The Rev. Chris Reny will officiate and interment will be in Lauderdale Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McIlvaine passed away February 3, 2011 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 23, 1921 in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late T. Paul Jackson and Freda Tate Jackson. She was married to Frank A. McIlvaine, who preceded her in death. Mrs. McIlvaine was a graduate of Purdue University and a lifelong Purdue Alumni; a member of First United Methodist Church of Thomasville and The Church by the Sea in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, and the Charity Guild; a Pink Lady at Broward General Hospital; a member of the Ocean Reef Club and the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Survivors include daughters, Lynn Cooper of Melbourne, FL, Julie Gray and husband Tony of Woodstock, GA and Bonnie Seery and husband Andy of Thomasville; grandchildren, Stanaland Andrews Seery, Jr., Frances Jo Ann Seery Dotson and husband Mike, Julia Emily Seery Hotchkiss and husband Brett, Tyler Jackson Seery, William Anthony Gray and wife Sarah, Bonny Lyn Gray Spears and husband Jeff, Joy Anna Gray Elmore and husband Janson, Thomas Michael Cooper, Jr., Michael Paul Cooper, Christine Jordan, Margaret Ann McIlvaine and Katherine Jo McIlvaine; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Fifer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a daughter in law, Patsy McIlvaine of South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Reed McIlvaine.
