Jo Anne Daugherty Bierce

Funeral services for Jo Anne Daugherty Bierce, 76, of Birmingham, Al and formerly of Thomasville, will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Dawson St. United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Betty Lou Miller will officiate and internment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Bierce died on January 20, 2012 in Alabama. Born Sept. 20, 1935 in Ochlocknee, she was the daughter of the late Ledford and Lois Chastain Daugherty. She was married to James B. Bierce, Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bierce was a homemaker. She is survived by her son James B. Bierce, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; a daughter Theresia Diane Roberts and husband Randy of Crestview, FL and a brother, Wayne Daughtery of Cairo. Also surviving are grandchildren Adam Roberts and wife Paola, and Melissa Roberts; a great grandchild, Alanah Graham and several nieces and nephews.
