John Andrew Leskanic

John Andrew Leskanic Johnny passed away April 16th at his residence in Tallahassee, Florida at the age of 62. He was born on May 1st, 1946 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He graduated from Jefferson County High School, Monticello, Florida in 1964, and North Florida Community College, Madison, Florida. He attended Florida State University where he was a member of the Marching Chiefs. He was of the Catholic faith and was a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed music and playing his trumpet. John was an expert computer programmer system analyst and spent many years sharing his knowledge with others. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Hooks, Greg, son Christopher, grandsons Preston, Zachary and granddaughter Kierstyn, all of Tallahassee, Mother, Olga C. Shug Leskanic of Monticello, sisters Dotsy Hancock Don Thomasville, Georgia, Helen Nichol Robert, Palm Harbor, Florida, William Leskanic Lori Monticello, Florida and one niece, Alyssa Nichol, and four nephews, Jonathan Hancock, Edward and James Leskanic and Robert A. Nichol. He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Leskanic. He will be missed by his many friends and neighbors. Services will be held at Allen and Allen Funeral Chapel in Thomasville, Ga., Friday April 24th at 10:00A.M.
