John Timothy Chastain

Graveside Services for John “Tim” Timothy Chastain will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Holland and Jimmy Clanton officiating. Mr. Chastain passed away on February 13, 2021.  He was born on November 4, 1938, in Thomasville to the late Theodore Roosevelt Chastain and to the late Ethel Ray Chastain. He was married to Merlene Harrison Chastain.  Tim was a well-known paint contractor and took great pride in his work. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Thomasville Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his children, Daryl Chastain (Selina) of Ochlocknee, GA; daughter, Darla Campbell (Howard) of Cairo, GA; children by a previous marriage, Tammy Chastain Lane, Johnny Chastain; grandchildren, Angie Reichert (Kyle), Dawson Chastain (Hailey), DeLynn Logan, Morgan Parker (Tim); great-grandchildren, Emma Reichert, Myles Reichert, Irie Logan, Kylee Parker, Cooper Chastain; siblings, Ted Chastain (Joyce) of Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/nca/donate .
