Memorial services for John Franklin Parks, 74 of Boston will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Milford Stanley will officiate. Mr. Parks passed away May 13 at Archbold Hospital. Born July 15, 1938 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late James Everett Parks and May Williams Parks. He was married to Mavis Grice Parks who survives. Mr. Parks was a fireman for Clarke County and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Metcalf. Other survivors include his children, Jason Parks and wife Patti of Watkinsville, Nyla Bell and husband Andy of Asheville, NC, Dale Roberds and wife Kyra of Boston and Greg Roberds and wife Mandy of Bishop; grandchildren, Rio Parks, April Willingham, Taylor Glaze, Sterling Roberds, Wake Roberds, Kayla Roberds, and Griffin Roberds; sister, Barbara Burks of Dawsonville; brother, Thomas Parks and wife Betty Joyce of Lawrenceville and numerous nieces and nephews.
