John R. Gay

Memorial service for John (Buddy) R. Gay, 63, of Alligator Point will be 2:00PM, Friday, January 22, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Groover will officiate. Mr. Gay passed away on January 18, 2016 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Born November 11, 1952 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Waylon and Delores Smith Gay. He graduated from Thomasville High School in 1970, University of West Georgia in 1974, and Florida State University in 1979. He was employed a Kelley Foods, who were like family to him. Mr. Gay was a boat captain and love to fish. He was well known along the coast, as he was a salesman to all of the local restaurants. Survivors include daughter Wendy and David Fisher; grandchildren Haley McCorvey, Hunter McCorvey and Riley Fisher; also close friends and supporters Becky Lee and Pat Tillman. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com .
