John Joseph Fuks, Jr.

A memorial mass for John Joseph Fuks, Jr. 71, of Thomasville, will be Thursday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Catholic Church, where he was a member. Father Jacek Szuster will officiate. Mr. Fuks died at his residence on June 9, 2008. Born on June 21, 1936 in Bridgeport, CONN, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Caroline Krivda Fuks, Sr. On July 16, 1960 he married Barbara Kongsvold Fuks, who survives. He was retired from Warners, where he was warehouse manager. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served for two terms as the Grand Knight. Other survivors include 2 daughters and sons in law, Laurie and Jeff Camp and Kristina Marie and James Hurst, all of Thomasville; 2 sons and daughters in law, John Joseph and Lisa Fuks, III of Valdosta; and Stephen Edward and Kelly Fuks of Ann Arbor, MI. Also surviving are grandchildren, Bryan Fuks, Tyler Fuks, Maxwell Fuks, Ansley Fuks and Avery Hurst; Uncle, John Corwin of Tallahassee, FL; aunts, Mildred Burkes of Jenson Beach, FL, and Evelyn Reilly of New Jersey and a brother in law, John Kongsvold of Stratford Conn. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Augustine Catholic Church Building Fund, 211 N. Pinetree Blvd, Thomasville, GA 31792; or the Knights of Columbus, 211 N. Pinetree Blvd., Thomasville, GA 31792; or to the American Cancer Society , P O Box 1201, Albany, GA 31707 or to the Hope Lodge of Cleveland 11432 Mayfield Road Cleveland, OH 44106. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 on Wednesday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. The rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM. Friends may sign the online guest registry at www.allenfh.com .
