John L. Batch Stephens

John L. Batch Stephens, Sr., 83, of Thomasville, died on July 30 in Whigham. The son of George Washington and Belle Hancock Stephens, he was born on October 28, 1919 in Grady Co. He was married to Annie Lou Harwood Stephens, who survives on January 6, 1942. Mr. Stephens was a retired carpenter. Also surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Lane Stephens, Jr. of Thomasville; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Faye Stephens.
