John “Johnny” Dewey Morris passed away on January 30, 2021 while at home surrounded by family. He was born on May 26, 1943, in Moultrie to the late John Morris, Sr. and to Myrtle Morris. He was married to Linda W. Morris for 48 years. Johnny was a Thomas County Central High grad of 1961 and then attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1963 to study business. In 1976, he took over his father’s logging company. He built this into a thriving swamp logging family business. He continued to work in the logging field driving a log truck for CK J AG Logistics LLC. He was 77 years old and still hauling. He was a member of Big Ochlocknee Church in Coolidge, GA. Survivors include his children, Rebecca A. Smith of Niceville, FL, Lisa (Rex) Warren of Coolidge, GA, Dewey (Amanda) Morris of Savannah, GA, Chad Morris of Coolidge, GA; grandchildren, Zach Williams, Alex (Matt) King, Amber Warren, Savannah Lanier, Ansley (Trey) Benton, Grace Ann Morris, Charlie Morris, Johnnie Saige Morris, Addison Warren, Zach Bristol; great-grandchildren, Monica Williams, Sawyer Grace King, Harper Jane King, Warren Parker King, Tucker Lanier; sisters, Ilene Sanders, Gayle (Billy) Tillman, and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Casey Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center at 919 S Broad St, Thomasville, GA 31792.
