John Daniel Myers, beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on March 29, 1953, in Thomasville, Georgia to the late Marrell Hicks Myers Sr. and Esther Clay Myers, who survives.
Daniel enjoyed a dedicated career as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry, retiring from Flowers Baking Co. after 31 years of service. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did.
A devoted Christian, Daniel loved music and shared his passion by being a member of Christian Friends, where he sang weekly at various nursing homes and assisted living facilities. He was deeply committed to his faith, teaching Sunday school at the Thomasville Church of the Nazarene and the Rose City Church of God.
Daniel is remembered not only for his strong faith but also for his immense love for his family. He was married for 53 wonderful years to his soulmate, Susan Myers, and together they raised a loving family. He took great pride in being "Papa" to his grandchildren, who adored him.
Survivors include his mother, Esther Myers, his loving wife, Susan Myers; children, Joey Myers (Devon) of Coolidge, Clay Myers of Ochlocknee, and Natalie Myers Brown (James) of Coolidge; grandchildren, Jonah, Isabella, Noah, Avah, Isaiah, Oliver, Christopher, Ivan, Stetson, and Addison; brothers Hicks Myers (Martha), twin brother Randall Myers (Pam), and Sammy Myers (Mary Hall).
A service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 2 pm at Thomasville First Church of The Nazarene with pastor Mike Nichols and Johnny Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
