John Pete Osgatharp

Graveside services for John Sanford “Pete” Osgatharp, 98, of Boston will be held on Saturday, December 26th, 2020, at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Jim Osgatharp will officiate the service. Mr. Osgatharp passed away December 22, 2020 at Archbold Hospital. Born November 6, 1922 in Minier, Ill., he was the son of the late Herbert Osgatharp and Myrtle Bennet Osgatharp. He was married to Myrtle Floyd Osgatharp. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the American Legion VFW and was a mechanic by trade. He is also survived by his children, Jim Osgatharp and wife Sherryl of Otwell, Ind., Marilyn Barrett of Washington, Ind., Barbara Hoffman and husband Robert of Longwood, Florida, Bill Osgatharp and wife Eva of Petersburg, Ind., Mark Osgatharp and wife Renee of Thomasville, Ga., Steve Osgatharp and wife Wanita of Boston, GA, David Osgatharp and wife Pam of Thomasville, Ga., and Jeff Osgatharp of Boston, GA; step-children, John Bennett of Tennessee, Kathi Bennett and Rick Imig of Orange City, Fl., and Sue Mascaro of Sanford, Fl; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his brothers, Myrle Dean Osgatharp of Petersburg, Ind., Owen Otis Osgatharp of Rogers, Ark., and William Thomas Osgatharp of Otwell, Ind.
